Dont waste your money on live bait. Trout have been smashing artificial baits under popping corks. We had a few overcast days they were attacking top water well into the afternoon. They are cruising the flats in huge numbers. On our usual sunny florida day, use a bright color to grab their attention in the grass.
Our waters have been sitting right about 72 degrees. We have been fortunate to avoid red tide so far this season. There was a patch to the south for awhile but has since cleared up. White bait isn't heavy on the flats yet and is still hanging in larger numbers nearshore.
