I spent the beginning of the week inshore Boca Grande. Along the beaches the "red tide" is still hanging around beach fronts and is slightly washing in and out with passing tides. Choose your location carefully. I was able to find an area just inside of Placida that was showing signs of life. Pinfish swimming in the grass flat, the dreaded needle fish chasing smaller bait on the surface. It was better than what I saw leaving the boat ramp. Returning friend and client Barry hooked up on a few in slot redfish. Great start to his vacation.
